About Us

Following the closure of the Flagstaff Birth and Women’s Center, a small group of us came together in 2021 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to establish the Flagstaff Birth Collective.

We felt strongly about continuing to support Flagstaff families with accessible, collaborative, community-centered care.

Many of us had already been collaborating for nearly a decade, and the Collective grew from those longstanding relationships and shared commitment to perinatal care.

Together, we continue to connect families with trusted practitioners and holistic support throughout the perinatal period.

Testimonials from our beloved patients

  • “The peaceful, supportive atmosphere, and the people at the birth collective and the nursing nook and other classes are so nurturing through this transition of motherhood. I’m so grateful for this beautiful space and community here in Flagstaff!”

    • L.M.

  • “Even if you're not pregnant, Jana is a wonderful midwife to visit for your yearly well woman visits. She took the time to get to know me and my health history. She made sure I felt comfortable and explained what she was doing with every step of the exam. I felt more a person than just another patient in her office. If you're looking for another option besides the OB's office, I highly recommend going to Jana!”

    • A.J.

  • "I can’t say enough amazing things about Betsy. She is VERY knowledgeable and takes her time explaining everything so that you can fully understand your body. She helps you in more ways than just chiropractic that help make your pregnancy and postpartum much more enjoyable! For almost every problem I had, she had an answer that made my body and mind feel better."

    • A.N.

  • “I have been using Jessica Williams as my massage therapist for over three years now. After I had my first born, I continued to see Jessica, with a focus on restorative massage from muscles that needed attention as a side effect from the labors of breast-feeding. Prenatal or postnatal massage with Jessica would be a great gift for a friend or family member who is in a new season of life!”

    • T.B.

  • "Colleen offers a unique and refreshingly positive experience to physical therapy. Instead of the typical "assembly line" current philosophy of physical therapy, where you see a therapist and then are sent to techs to learn and practice text book exercises, Colleen offers a one-on-one approach. She thinks "out-of-the-box" (or text book) to come up with individually based techniques to facilitate your recovery."

    • I.H.

  • "Tally is a skilled healer with a deep understanding of Chinese medicine, but she also uses other modalities. She has a knack for deep listening and a fierce yet gentle way of helping her patients back into balance. Sessions with her leave me feeling relaxed, cared for, and healed. Flagstaff is fortunate to have someone so skilled at women's health."

    • M.M.

  • “Maya is the best! She has been working with me for a few months now on latch, maintaining supply, and honestly just encouraging me through breastfeeding! I really do not think I would have been able to successfully breastfeed my baby for this long without her help and guidance! She is very responsive and I highly recommend her services.”
