More about Maya
Born, raised, and still living in Clarkdale, AZ, Maya understands the unique needs of rural, northern Arizona families. In her early career as a social worker for new families, Maya learned about the preventive magic of lactation and breastfeeding.
The lack of lactation support in the region was motivating and Maya decided to fill the gap, becoming an IBCLC in 2010. She honed her craft working in a hospital, a birth center, private practice, and a nonprofit.
Maya provides:
Expert assessment and care plans for all infant feeding challenges
Prenatal preparation
Returning to work support
Pumping/flange fitting
Important things to know
Maya believes that breastfeeding and lactation are the biological norm and that babies, birthing, and lactating parents are capable of amazing things!
